2009 Pat Sloan's Let Them Eat Cake - Tote Swap

The THEME for our Tote Swap is

"Let Them Eat Cake"

A swap inspired by cupcakes, pies, candies and all things sweet!...

Not only is this a swap but it's a creative challenge.... how fun is THAT! You will create your swap tote using the kit I have made up. The kit is $10.00 and includes

The tote and tag Pattern and game directions.
A pieced of Stripe fabric because I SO LOVE stripes!!! (and you should too!)
A second piece of fabric that you can incorporate
Rick Rack (yep.. gotta love that too!)
A Dessert postcard (instruction in pattern for what to do with it)
(NOTE - you will not get the fabrics shown, that was done years ago, it's just the inspiration).

This is a One to One swap. Here is how you play

Order your kit: Click HERE to my Webstore. I also have fusible fleece on the webstore so pick that up at the same time if you need it. You can quilt the tote too, but I love the fleece as it as more body and you don't need to quilt it!
Sign Up In the Database : Go to the Death By Quilting yahoo group and sign up in the database. You MUST DO THIS or we won't know you want to play. CLICK HERE
Sign Ups End July 24: On July 25 or 26 you will get an email with the name of your swap partner.
KIT ARRIVES: When you receive your kit, go shopping for fabrics that go with it! Think candie colors, think chocolate cupcakes with pink icing, think cherry pie.. yum!!! Then start to create a tote that fits the color preference of your swap partner.. and be inspired by something sweet! (ps... the cuppie applique is optional. You can applique something else sweet, or you can use a fabulous fabric for the pocket and forgo the applique.. but who would want to!)
